Tony will be an inclusive voice for our Community

Dear Neighbor,

I have lived in Greater Wilshire since 1996, first as a renter then as a homeowner in Brookside, with my wife and two daughters. I love our community, which is why I am running to represent Brookside on the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council.

LA faces existential challenges: How do we end homelessness, confront climate change, and equitably build for the future? The recent fires have only made addressing these questions more urgent, and I have been focused on them for years.

  • I wrote and co-founded The Livable Communities Initiative – a plan to turn our commercial corridors into livable, walkable, bikeable, tree-lined communities. Last year, this was endorsed by LA’s Dept of City Planning and it is included in LA's 8-year housing plan. On the GWNC, I will work to turn Livable Communities into a pilot program for our community, and neighboring communities, so it can lead LA out of the fires towards a better path forward.

  • I am the proud father of two LAUSD graduates and was a Founding Parent of the Larchmont Charter School – a local public charter school that now sends scores of first-generation students to top universities.

  • I am a leader on my synagogue’s Social Justice Committee (Ikar), an established community and interfaith organizer, and a veteran film industry professional, as a writer-producer.

I understand our community’s challenges, I see how they fit into our city’s future, and I would be honored to dedicate my skills and experience serving as our representative on the Greater Wilshire Neighborhood Council. I hope we will have a chance to meet as I go door-to-door in the coming weeks to share my vision for our neighborhood. I hope I can earn your vote!
